Chocolate Doily, Ice Urinal, Monkeys

Pattern:  Tea Break from the LA book, Tea Time Doilies by Ocie Jordan
Yarn:  Nazli Gelin in Chocolate Brown
Hook:  1.75 mm
Size:  23 inches

Ken built a urinal for the guys at the poker game out of the snow!
LOL.

I also made some of these sock monkey cup cozies.
They were fun.
Free pattern is HERE.

We've had some sunshine this past week and a lot of snow melt. There is still about two feet of snow out there, but most of it is clear from the roadways. We went into Canada yesterday and did some shopping. I think we're supposed to get more snow within the next week, but we'll see.

I'm starting another doily when I get this posted. We're having Veggie Burgers for dinner so that'll be easy. Not much news here.  Enjoy your weekend!

Peace, Sistahs.

  1. Your yarn finished projects are great. Beautiful brown color. And I love the doggies. Nose in your shirt - cute. I miss my Cavalier furbaby, Lily so terribly. It is almost a year since she had to go. Stay warm.- Mary

  2. Your crocheting is so beautiful. I love that chocolate doily. And I think I've already told you that the cup cozies are very, very cute. Silly Ken! Isn't it fun the things you can do in the snow? Have a wonderful weekend.

  6. Your doily is beautiful as always.. boy that's a big one! 23".... I like them that size as they make a great table centerpiece or on a coffee table. I have them all over my house, but I use a 3 or 4 ply yarn, never that tiny stuff as hard for me to work with. You do such a beautiful job! After I blocked my baby blanket, I washed it and it came out wonderful.. still blocked and nice and soft so getting it ready to send to new mom and her little girl. That ice urinal is a kick! so funny! I had to snark out loud! LOL..... and the monkey cup cozies.. darling. I still want to make some sugar skulls. I'm glad our snow is all but gone... thank goodness.. and hope we get NO MORE! I went to Wal Mart yesterday and got some of that Tamari.. thank you for suggested it.. now I can have some stir fry! Also found a gluten free marinade.. yum. Enjoy the weekend! Marilyn

hi pammy sue...your creations are beautiful and inspiring...love both the doily and the sock monkey cozies...it's always great to see pictures of your "babies" (puppies)...and ken's ice urinal sculpture must have been one high of the poker party...was the night fun?...were your "eats" appreciated?...are you planning to plant flowers/shrubs this spring?...we have yard work to do - ground damage from snow plow and a tractor have left long and deep"divits" in the yard...so we will have that work done...take care...sally
