Then The Snow Came Down

Lots of it this time! That's more like it.
Where's Ollie?

Ken likes to make mazes for the dogs in the yard.
They love it.

Eli looks dirty against the white snow.

This was Christmas Day...

I told Fletch to look for Santa.

The old and wise one didn't move.
You can't fool her.

This was the totality of my Christmas decorating.
I just didn't feel like doin' it up big this year.
It was a happy and easy day.
Hope you had a good one too.

I finally made a Sugar Skull last night.
It was fun!
Free pattern on Ravelry HERE.
It needs a few tweaks. It's not perfect, but it's free!

I'm staying in to crochet the rest of the day in my 70's legwarmers.
I'm slowly working on my gray angel. Her dress is nearly done.
I'm going to finish her. I'm just taking my time and doing other things too.

Enjoy the last few days of 2016.
I am.

  1. Looks like you finally got dumped on! (snow that is!).. We had that amount last week and it's still here. You are SO lucky to have a tracter with a plow blade. I do all the shoveling by hand.. Yukky pooh. Hubby decides he's just not "into" it. Has been so danged cold here, down to zero some nights so nothing is melting. I LOVE the sugar skull. I'm tired of the baby blanket I'm working on and don't like it so may do something different. I finally got my tree decorated on the 24th! Put up a few decorations here and there but not much, but the lights look pretty and I love the twinkling lights I have up, and the candles. Seems to weird to know we'll be saying "2017' before long. I told hubby the decs are staying up for at least two more weeks! or HE can take them down if he wants to, but not me. He DID get me 3 skeins of nice yarn from the thrift store, so I guess he's not totally on my shit list! (also a few other nice things.. all thrift store.. that's how he shops). Enjoy crocheting!

  2. I am not a fan of snow, but it was fun seeing all of it at your house. I especially liked, and chuckled about, the picture of Ollies ears and tail only peeking past the snow as he was exploring the snow maze. Snow mazes are a great idea for the dogs to play. When we have deep snow our little Fuzzy Pom loves to run around with his nose under the snow plowing it up as he goes.

It looks like you are cozy there in your leg warmers crocheting.

Season's greetings to you, your husband, and your pups.

    Susie D.

  3. I would so love to have a white Christmas like yours.

    Happy New Year,

  4. Snow, snow, snow! I thinks it's plenty for now! I love your decorations, especially thwhen angel. I put away the few things I put out except my snowmen. They stay out for awhile yet. Love your leg warmers. :)-

  5. I can't imagine having that much snow. It is just beautiful!

  6. Brrrrr Pam .. I think I'd die in that climate. The snow sure is deep. I think your idea of staying inside is a very good one. Enjoy these last few days and a happy new year to you, Ken and all the furbabies. Xox

  7. No to the snow! Our Christmas Day was 68 degrees! AC came on! Hope you have a Happy New Year!

  8. Love seeing you in a real snow, not that spiffy Texas dusty stuff. Lol. You did about as much decorating as we did this year. No tree either. Glad since both bad chest, head, sinus, ear and sore throat colds. Love the Ollie pic.

  9. Oh, Pammy Sue, it was 74 here Sunday! Not very Christmas-like. LOL! The snow is so beautiful and I would be enjoying those leg warmers with all that, too! Nice sugar skull! Wishing you a WONDERFUL 2017! blessings ~ tanna

  10. Wow Pammy Sue, that is a lot of snow!!! Looks like Ken likes his toy! And how about the doggins'? Do they hate to go out to make wee wee?
Love all of your crochet! Angels and sugar skulls. Stay in and crochet away. It looks awfully cozy!
    xo Kris

  11. It looks beautiful. Happy New Year! I hope that 2017 is a great one for you. :) xx
