I Got Video of the Bear!

video

Turn your sound up. I'm whispering like I'm a golf announcer. Heh-heh.
If you can't play the video here, you can see it on YouTube here:  Bear Video

video

He started climbing down when we stopped. You can't see him very well, but you can hear him.

Isn't that fun?

We're on day four or five of heavy smoke and the air quality level is "unhealthy" so we've been staying inside. I haven't felt very well anyway with the back and just general aches. The back is better. I finally took half an Ambien and slept like a log last night. We went into town and did the grocery shopping and ran some errands today. I went in search of the lost hexies Monday. I found them in a box in the garage and made a few. Other than that, I've done nothing. Oh wait...

I made a chocolate layer cake with chocolate frosting.
YUM!

See ya.

  1. Great to hear your voice and I'd love to pop over for some of that cake !! That's amazing, seeing a bear up a tree on the side of the road. Best we can do here is the odd kangaroo. Bears are only in zoos - thank goodness. Hope your back improves soon. Mine is giving me trouble too at the moment and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the recent hip surgery? xox

  4. So neat to see the bear in the tree! What an experience. Hope your back is feeling better.. maybe it was climbing up that long hill pushing your bike.. as I can imagine you kind of had to twist to push the bike.. any sort of unusual twisting usually gets my side or back muscles! Use lots of ice when you can. Loved your last blog post and this one too. Happy hunting! :-)

  11. Glad to hear your back is better. Cool video of the bear. Double chocolate is a favorite at our house. I have a Hershey cookbook from years ago, that has several good recipes in it. Take care and have a great day, Heather

  12. Love the video :) is there any other cake besides chocolate? if there is, I don't know a thing about it. Good to hear you are feeling better. Went to regular MD after my rheumy diagnosed the pneumonia, and found out it wasn't pneumonia. Lower part of my right lung was completely collapsed, and the entire lung was full of a gnarly (his word not mine) infection. I had put the pain down to the RA and the breathlessness to being out of shape, which means I've had this for almost two months. He thinks it happened when I sucked down some stomach acid one night while I was sleeping, and woke up choking. Infection on the mend, but still full of fluid. blah. keep the pictures coming, love love loving the scenery.

  16. WOW, the bear! I have only seen them in the zoo and that was close enough for me. We now have coyotes. They have been around for several years but the sightings are more common now. I keep an eye on my dogs when I leave them out, eagles like to eat small animals. You have eagles too. I imagine you keep an eye on yours as well. The cake looks yummy, chocolate, my favorite. Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment. Yes, that sauce, it made me half sick to know that it arrived with one jar broken. What a mess that must have been. Hope your back gets back to normal for you.
