An Old Favorite

Denise Augostine's Summer Splendor (Free Pattern)

An unblocked doily is one of my pet peeves, but here it is in all its unblocked glory. I'm severely lacking in the motivation department lately. Somebody slap me.

1.  Guardians of the Galaxy is a good movie and I was surprised about that. My favorite character was Rocket because he reminded me so much of Eli. Bradley Cooper does his voice, but you'd never guess that in a million years. Even knowing that, I still couldn't put the voice with his face. We've been calling Eli "Rocket" most of the time ever since. It fits him so much better.

2.  I don't know why I started a list because I've got nothing else to say. LOL.

3.  See ya.

  2. I think it's gorgeous in all of it's unblocked glory. Love the colors together. And now I'm off to Costco. I've already spent a fortune at the grocery store this morning. What happened to all of the food while I was gone!?
    Blessings my friend,

  3. Beautiful doily Pammy Sue. I'm getting ready to start a stash busting project. I just can't justify buying new yarn for a new project when I have so much "tucked away". Today is that rainy day to use it. :-) Have a great day, Heather (it's an old Lily Chin pattern, I'll post about it soon). Take care!

  4. I would never have known it wasn't blocked! Your crochet is so pretty!

I've been wanting to watch that movie. So glad you endorsed it! :-)

  5. Pretty!! my g-maw used to block her doilies with little shot glasses placed around/under them so they would have a little roller-coaster look. don't know why, but they were pretty and frilly like that. I like lists too. I write them, then ignore (read: loose) them.

  11. I can absolutely see why it is a favorite. Okay, to my novice crochet self, it looks beautiful unblocked! I did a crochet shawl a couple of weeks ago and can't see why I would want to block it... maybe I should re-think this. LOL!

Pammy Sue, I love that you and The Captain have been off on RAK missions, too! I always believe good follows good... it spreads. Thank you for letting me know. You inspire me to do more. blessings ~ tanna

  13. It looks terrific for being unblocked. I love the colors. I understand the no-motivation; I don't have it either lately. Haven't seen the movie yet but I hear good things about it.

  14. Ha! 3 point list--you make me giggle. =)

Love that doily! Now you're making me wish I had done it multi-colored as well. Alas, there are too many other patterns to try before I get around to that one again. ;-)

  15. Love the doily as usual! I'm currently working on one but it has taken a backseat to the Secret CAL throw. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done. Take care my friend.

  16. I love the doily, love the colors and the pattern. I am in a mid week, work, brain mush, tired stupor so I have nothing to say either.

  23. Ha! Ha!...I've crocheted for the last 45 (plus) years and I've made a lot....LOT...of things, including doilies. I've never 'blocked' a single thing! I wouldn't even know how to do it if you asked me to! ^_^ I just crochet. I'll leave the blocking to football players and those who do it well!! ^_^
