A Small Entry

1.  I have no pictures today so I thought I'd put up an adorable baby picture of Ollie to fill the space.

2.  I got all the ends sewn in on my middles. It took lots longer than I anticipated...about an hour for each little bag, and I had 5 bags. I'll be sewing the ends in as I go from now on. I'll have to wait a couple of days before I do any crocheting because...

3.  I went to the doctor this morning about my right shoulder. Good news. No large tears that need repair with surgery as far as he could see with the x-ray. No MRI at this time. He could see where I was having problems (three different things that are too much to go into and don't need fixing at this point). I got two cortisone injections into two places in my shoulder. Holy Crap, it hurt. I was traumatized for a couple of hours and had to take a nap. LOL. What a baby. I feel much better now, and I'm very relieved that it's not a surgical issue yet. Whew.

4.  This is my third day without coffee because I had a little tummy bug. I'm about to have my first cup right now. It sounds good and I'm hungry so I know the bug has left the building.

See ya.

  1. Sorry to hear about your shoulder, but good news that it doesn't look like surgery will be necessary. I had a cortisone shot in my knee a couple years ago when I injured it (arthritis) and it did help. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Looking forward to seeing your colorful motifs. Ollie is a cutie pie! Heather

  2. Precious little Ollie. So sweet. Sorry about your shoulder and the bug. Ick. I try to sew my ends as I go just because of what you described...endless ends to sew when a project is finished.
Hope all is well with you now and the crocheting can begin again.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  6. Hi Pammy Sue!
So glad to know that your shoulder is feeling a bit better and there is no need for surgery. I have scrolled back to enjoy your posts I have missed over the last few weeks. I'm glad you found a book to treasure. I just finished Facing East by Greene-Matthews which might not be your cup of tea but had me laughing hard toward the end. Your doilies are amazing, and I love the socks you crocheted. I just told the lady sitting next to me at our knitting group tonight that I want to crochet socks...maybe that can be my next crochet project...although a friend is determined to teach me how to make a snowfake tomorrow. Mt. Hood is getting snow tonight!!! The skiers are thrilled :-) Happy Springxx

Sorry you're having shoulder troubles. Good though you won't have to have surgical repairs! No coffee for three days? Holy moly I'd turn into a crazy zombie woman! haha! Have fun with your new project! Love the colors you're using for your hexie! Take care, penny x

  8. Aww he was such a cute puppy and still is !! Glad to hear that your shoulder will be ok - you really should rest it for awhile. Don't envy you having to sew in all those ends and yes, I agree, doing them as you go along will be the best thing to do. Hope you enjoyed the coffee. xox

  9. Oh I know that pain! Take your meds and rest good. Don't over do it, and if crochet hurts, leave it for now. I didn't crochet or knit for weeks when i got hurt. Use that time to dream up new projects to work on. :) Take care!

  13. Hey girl.. *love* Ollie's baby face.. he's a doll. I am glad to hear that you don't need surgery on your shoulder. Mine still hurts from my fall.. but not enough to go to the doctor I don't think. I hope your tummy bug is over.. I can't imagine giving up my one cup of coffee each morning. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  15. Love the new header picture! Glad to hear the shoulder doesn't need surgery, that would really suck. I'm sure it's slowing you down enough already, hurting like it does.
