Purple-Lovin' Napper

This purple doily was more short-term than I anticipated even.
I finished it up last night.

I really love the PURPLE, although I rarely use it.
Now I want to make a bigger one with this color.
But not before a RED one for Christmas.
Hurry up, Knit Picks!

The mantel is nekkid with bare wires showing everywhere.
I put up the Autumn stuff yesterday.
Christmas decor coming soon, but not too much.
Just a smattering will do.

We had French Dip Sandwiches for dinner last night.

It was easy with sliced roast beef from the deli and a can of beef consomme heated on the stove, some sub rolls and provolone cheese, a minute under the broiler, and we had a meal.

Oh my gosh, it's 12:30 and I haven't done an iota of work. I'm such a slacker. I do NOT want to put those headphones on and work, but I have to. The sooner I do it, the sooner I can take a nap. Ha. A nap will always motivate me. Naps are good! Naps are way better than sleeping at night, especially if you have a dark bedroom and a few dogs snuggled up against you. It's like you're doing something you're not supposed to and getting away with it. I'm being EVIL and taking a nap! So scandalous! I'm a blatant, serial napper!

  10. That purple is such a pleasing purple and the doily design is gorgeous and unique. It will be perfect in red.
Now to the tv...was that a reflection of an alien space ship in your house? Or was it coming to you directly through the screen?
    Hahahahaha!

  11. so pretty, love the stack of eye candy doilies. This purple is pretty and easy on the eyes, I'm finding the darker of any color on my old eyes I shy away from. This is a lovely purple, and still light enough to work with.

  13. The doilies are beautiful as always Pammy Sue! I have another confession to make...my first doily came from your blog! It was out of red heart yarn and you posted it a few years back. I'm not sure if you still have the pattern up but there are a few of them in my house! :-)

  15. Beautiful purple doily! I have some balls of KnitPicks thread and it's beautiful stuff. They didn't have a bright red though.. wish they'd add that color for my crocheted hearts. My mom loved to use the word "iota". ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I also love my naps. Sometimes I don't get a nap until just before hubby gets home from work but every little bit helps. ;-)
