I'm Boring

Listening to:  CNN and/or Fox News on the TV incessantly. I get caught up in the news when there's something newsworthy happening. I worry, I lose sleep, I chew and pick my cuticles, but I can't seem to turn it off.
Eating:  Cheetos
Drinking:  Iced Coffee
Making:  Food-wise, a Strawberry-Banana Jello salad. Crochet-wise, nothing. The urge to have a hook and yarn in my hands has left me. I'm sure it's temporary. Even obsessive-compulsive people get sick and tired of the same old thing sometimes. Two days and counting.
Wearing:  Blue jean capri pants, an aqua tee, fluffy pink house shoes. I'm gorgeous.
Feeling:  Sad, worried, dissatisfied, thankful and privileged to be an American.
Wanting:  Sixty-degree and lower temperatures
Needing:  Regular exercise and a six-month break from sugar
Noticing:  I'm alone. The Cap went back to work today, and I feel his absence.

  3. Everyone goes through periods like this. The loss of the Captain's constant companionship doesn't make it any easier. I'm sure you will snap back. You have such a lovely blog and I always look forward to reading it.

  4. Pammy, you are anything but boring. And you have all of us to keep you company. The pictures you took were stunning. You'll get you hook back, we all lose it from time to time, only to come back with a wonderful creative streak. Hang on girl, this too shall pass.

  5. You are not boring girl! You are definitely funny at times. How about you get dressed up and go out and purchase something pretty for yourself..just a thought! Be thankful you are where you are in life....there are a whole bushel of people out there with mountains of problems! Think on the positive side!

  6. You and boring aren't synonymous. :-) Pretty pictures. I wonder what the purple and green plant is (4th down); I like it. Your coleus is going gang busters! Bake something for the captain for when he gets home to keep your mind off the news. Take care, Heather

  7. You are not boring...I usually end up smiling when I leave your blog...you are just waiting to be inspired. I lose my mojo from time to time, but it always returns. Maybe a book for this afternoon...?

  8. Oh my Pammy Sue, we need to do lunch, I'm in the same mood. But I did buy a new book to me called Village Diary by Miss Reed. Don't watch the news too much I don't know who to believe, so I've been reading my bible. So much more encouraging than the news!

  9. Turn off the news and put on some happy music, for me reggae and contry music, some comfort food and your beverage of choise. Then enjoy what you are wearing, do what you want and enjoy all your furry friends. The need to hook, will come back, for sure! Call an friend and chat, time will pass. Enjoy.

  12. Silly Girl....If you're boring then I'm dead! haha! Come on over to my house and we'll talk dogs and doilies. We can sit out on the patio in our moo moo's and sip Kalua iced coffees while Mr. Knot Head bbq's us something yummy on the grill. Then we'll send him to his cave while we crank up some Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac and sing-a-long as loud as we can while we look through some cool crochet patterns. When we're tired of that we can gossip about everything that's stupid, reminisce about the 70's and 80's and then... let's go yarn shopping k? lol penny x

  13. I'm feeling boring too Pammy Sue, I guess it hits us all now and again. You are anything but so don't go thinking it. I love those pictures your plants are beautiful. The news is never good and always leaves me depressed, I like to put some music on really LOUD then have a dance around my kitchen it always does the trick even better if you sing along off key which you can do when ur home alone, have a great weekend and don't worry your crochet mojo will return it always does, love ya xxxx

  15. Honey, ya don't know what boring is....ya got many people visiting you and that is a plus. Now look at me, I'm boring, I even bore myself, and that is bad. I seem to blog about the same old thing. Just look at my side bar, do I not have many people listed there (you included) that I find interesting? I mean, if I was that great a read I wouldn't even have need for the people I follow, lol. I'm sure some days you find yourself so amazing that you amaze yourself, frankly, I find you amazing all the time. Take a break honey, your captain will be home at the end of the day. You are not only amazing you are blessed.

  16. Those are some gorgeous pictures Pammy Sue! I especially love the purple one. My life is never very exciting and much the same day to day. The news IS depressing right now. The world seems to be going nutso. It's probably bothering you more right now because you've had the Captain around you so much lately and now he's not home. Well, if I know you, this mood won't last long. I'm with everyone else. Turn the news off. Turns some good music on. (For me that's upbeat praise music.). Read a good book. Take a nap. You'll feel better very fast.
    Blessings my friend,
    Betsy

  17. Not a chance! Not boring, not for a second! Are you worried about the political unrest all over? I am too.
Glad the Cap went back to work. Greg completed his first week back, and we are both pooped tonight.
I am dreaming of cooler temps too. Tonight, it is delightful. We have all the windows open!

  20. Your mind is just gathering steam for the next big crochet project, so maybe you need to take a break :)
I hardly ever watch the news anymore,it's so depressing. Although it does make me thankful that I live here, safe and comfortable and I'm not standing in line in a desert somewhere, waiting for food or water.

You're getting some good use out of that camera! Love the moon shot!

  23. Not boring. I enjoyed your photographs. I can never get moon pictures to turn out looking like anything. It seems that many of us are starting to feel that end of summer blah-ness. I know I am. Time watching international news here in this house has been really cut short. The local news runs many of the international stories, so we now usually tune in to just the local news. I can tolerate only small doses of world news. It makes me feel worried and helpless to do anything to change anything. Interesting that many of us are trying to reduce our exposure to the news.

Great to know the Captain is well and back at work... I am sure the crochet bug will bite again.. I have slowed down so much compared to last year... But still my #1 craft... Hope your weekend is going well :)) Hugs Pat :))

  25. I think this calls for yarn! Yep, get yourself to the computer and purchase some yarn...doesn't that always make you feel better? With me it's thread, but it's still the same principal. :) ((hugs))

  28. Pammy your never boring to me I love your photos and crochet projects and cooking feats and most of all your sense of humor. You make my day shine with hope laughter and a wonderful personality. Take rest or make something sweet for you and captain. It is hard to be alone when you have had him around to talk too laugh and doing things together. It will pass and something will peak your interest for sure when I get down I look at Pintetest or Ravelry and go crazy with all the goodies on there sites. I gotten so many ideas course may get you in trouble but what a way to go. Take care my friend.
