Everybody Loves Pink Hearts

 Do you love it?

I've had this pattern saved FOREVER. I came across it again while going through my doily patterns and decided to just do it already...so I did! The one in the pattern picture was done in a cream color, but hearts MUST be done in pink or red, am I right?

DETAILS:

Pattern: Heart Doily designed by Rosanne Kropp, Annie's Crochet Newsletter #91. The number was a little obscured, so it could be #81. I'm not sure. It is a written pattern, not a graph. I ripped it out of an old magazine I bought off of ebay several years ago, but the magazine title and issue is not noted on the pages I saved. It does say January-February 1998, if that helps. Going forward, I'm trying to be better about making notes on patterns I save about where they came from so I can share it. But you know what to do if you really really want it. pammysue8 at gmail dot com
Thread:  #10 Pink. Not sure if it's Aunt Lydia's or Red Heart.
Hook:  1.75 mm

It is just gorgeous and I so wish I could make one! I lose count and get frustrated and just give up. Have you ever made a doily with an animal in the middle...such as a deer or a dog or a rabbit? I would love to buy one!!!
    Enjoy your blog so much,
    Cathy

  12. Luv it! It's so girly :) I like that it's square too. Such a nice change up. I've been looking at some oval patterns to crochet. Something different once in a while keeps it fun.

  19. I love the square one! I don't see many square ones. This one has that nice heart pattern in it too. Very cool!
Hey, I didn't know your hubby was having surgery. Hope everything turned out right and he will be back to normal soon. If he really is going to be home for 4 weeks, this can be your "practice" for when he retires. Cuz, honey-chil...I'm tellin' ya, having da man home all the live long day - EVERY live long day is very hard to get used to. I swear, it took me 2 years to get used to having Art around all day, and he's a quiet kind of guy!

  20. I adore your pink hearts Pammy Sue. So delicate and pretty. I prefer written patterns hands down over graphs. They just seem to make more sense to me. I would also love to have the pattern. I've been finishing Piper's sweater and knitting on a dishcloth with a bit of cross stitch thrown in for good measure!
How are Cap and the dogs doing? I'm sure you're taking very good care of them all.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  23. Beautiful pink doily. About 20 years ago I was a doily making machine so I know how much time and concentration it takes to make these little beauties. I have a box of them packed in the garage along with patterns…..maybe I should go find them!!
