After the Rain

A collective "Ahhh!" from all the plants and flowers this morning after an overnight and morning rain of 2.5 inches. Do you see all the babies the succulent has? I'm happy to say that ALL of the succulents I bought this spring are alive and thriving and multiplying. That's a big deal for me, as I've killed every other plant I've ever bought (except the roses, but I've killed plenty of those too).

This little guy danced around on the fence and put on a show for me...

Here he is all puffed up. Hard to believe that's the same bird.

And this Cardinal eluded me. I was pissed that I didn't get a good shot. He is so pretty. See him hiding there? Hmpf!

Janie poking around the yard.

Eli glued to his Daddy's lap on the glider.

Ollie checking out a plastic flower petal.

Fletch chillin' on the coffee table.

There's still time for you to join the doily-along over at Janice's.

So...it's the same old stuff around here, as you can see.
Thanks for coming to see us time after time.

  2. Pretty, pretty doily. I must say no, I must say no, to the CAL. I bought the yarn yesterday at Hobby Lobby to begin a blanket with your circle square pattern. I even bought blue yarn. How's that for copying you big-time?! Great pictures. I can hear the sigh of relief from the birds and plants alike. I wish we could have 2 inches of a gentle rain up here. Send it our way, okay?
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  11. Your photos are awesome Pam .... not only a great camera but an A1 photographer with very artistic/creative ideas. I love the pic of Eli in particular - he looks as if he's about to jump right off the screen. The look on his face is gorgeous too. Wish I could join in that CAL as the doily looks amazing. I'm still working on combining two rooms into one and have stuff all over the place. Hope to finish it all soon. Have a good weekend. xox

Canyou believe i've been crocheting all this time and never made a doily. I do like the scottie potholders too and that blue afghan iswonderful. I can see you've been busy. I havent been crocheted much lately but seeing all your creations makes me want to start something. It's been nice catching up with you.

  14. We had a lot of rain overnight too, the garden is looking so much fresher for it. And we feel better too as it is has been sooooo humid recently.

Love your doily, especially the autumn colour scheme.

I am getting on well with your potholder pattern, have finished the front and the back, now for the joining! It is a great pattern, very straightforward to follow - thanks so much again for posting it for us bloggers!!

  16. We had rain this morning, well yesterday morning as it is now Sunday 12:11am. We needed it too, but it will make the grass grow and I will be out mowing again. The never ending job. I love your pictures. I miss a lot of bird shots because I forget to change my lens for the big zoom one. Some day I am gonna just get in the car and go picture taking.
