Teal Vintage Rose Potholder

I made another Copy Cat Vintage Rose Potholder yesterday. I didn't think I was going to like the dark teal, but once I got the cream background on, I loved it! I used black for the background on the first try (I was going for something a little goth), but I didn't like it so I ripped that out and used the cream instead. Guess I'm just not the goth type. Ha-ha. Nope, not at all.

I've also been working on writing the pattern out.
Lots of work! I have a tester helping me.
It'll be FREE and it's coming very soon!

The back.
And just one more...

This one was made with Caron One Pounder in Ocean (worsted), Vanna's in Sweet Pea, and I Love This Cotton in Cream. Not sure about the name of the cotton, but it's the only off-white, cream color they have.

I'll be working on a pink version today.
I'm addicted.
What are y'all making at the moment?

  4. I love it so I can see how you got addicted. I am working on my loom, and oh darn I miscalculated the yarn and had to go to the yarn store, big bummer!

  5. I Love the solid "I Love This Cotton" yarns . . they are so vibrant. I wish they would come out with more solid shades . . Maybe in rainbow colors :)

  15. I love your potholder and the colour choice. I do like making potholders and they brighten up corners of our home. Think I may put down my blanket that I'm making and find a potholder pattern! Enjoy your week.

  16. I've got this added to my todo list, I'm a pushover for potholders anyhow. :) especially vintage ones. At the moment, I'm trying to make a shawl, and work on a crochet dress for a Barbie doll, trying on both counts as sometimes things don't work out the first time. Your potholder is lovely, and am looking forward to the pattern.

  18. Beautiful. My grandma crocheted this potholder many years ago. I have two of them. I am looking forward to your posting. I just finished a wave crochet pillow for my niece who is getting married. I'm up for another project only smaller. Your potholder sounds great.
