Elegant Squares Blanket
(That's Miss Jane laying on the bed)

I made this blanket 4 years ago and it's never been used. I decided to drag it out and put it on the end of the bed a few days ago when I was changing the bedding. I made it using the Wheel Lattice Square, a free pattern. The squares are supposed to be 12 inches, but I used Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in Linen and a J hook, and it really stretched those squares out. I crocheted them together with Red Heart in Coffee. I'm glad I pulled it out. It looks pretty and isn't too heavy and hot.

This is the one I saw on Ravelry that inspired me to make mine.
Isn't it pretty? I love the colors she chose.

She made another with nice colors too...

Seeing these again makes me want to make another!
Hmm...

I'm watching the race and finishing up a doily this afternoon. I think it will be the one I choose to give away on my blog. Or maybe I'll select two. Stay tuned for the DOILY GIVEAWAY happening this week!

  13. I love it on your bed! Why have you been hiding it? It looks so heirloomish. Is that a word? I also love the colored one...so pretty. I want to make one now too! I have been so busy, that I haven't been crocheting at all. And I do NOT like that!

  15. Hello friend! Catching up again. :o) Had to go find that pattern so I can make my son-in-law an afghan for Christmas. Looks to be quick in the making. I am such a bad blogger. Haven't had any desire to blog. I did post a couple. Got crap going on at work and that's the only time I can post, on a regular pc. I may be losing my job or getting relocated to either FL or Atlanta area. The not knowing is killing me. We are for sure the office is closing by next June at the latest but they've already inquired about early out of the lease. They are supposed to tell us around the fall what will happen to each of us. Most of the people in this office can work remotely. My job will not allow that. I ship. BUT I do a couple of jobs in this company that no one else does so that has me optimistic. I'm hoping they relocate me to FL - Clearwater to be exact. I've already got plans A, B & C in preparation so that I know what I will do in either situation. Now it's a waiting game. :( You have been really busy! Love all of your crochet, as usual. And I see the babies are their lovely selves. I will catch up with you again down the line. Miss you!! xoxo
