Pink and Green

We got our first rain in a loooooong time on Sunday.
It was nice!

I crocheted most of the weekend on something(s) special, but I have to get to Hobby Lobby to get the finishing touches on them before I can show you. I'm also working on the Nordic Shawl. I've given that a rest for a few days after ripping out the colored part and starting over with new colors. Plus, I still have the ring of pineapples on the doily I want to finish, and on and on it goes.

Meanwhile...

I made these today after looking through hundreds of potholder pictures on Flickr and Ravelry. Of course, I decided on one that didn't have a pattern so I had to improvise as I went. I think they turned out pretty well. Very spring-like. I'm still working on a couple more that are from different patterns.

I gots nothing else.  Bye.

Did you write the pattern down as you went along? I love the design and would like to make some as gifts. :-). Oh, maybe a couple for myself too. lol

Love your blog. I am retired and enjoy crochet and my 3 dogs. I have a boston, brussels griffon, and lab. Could you share more pics of your pups?
    Thanks!

  5. Pammy SUE!!!!! I have missed you, and missed reading blogs!!! I found myself with some time tonight, and went to yours first! I have missed SEVERAL posts!!! Love all you are working on!! AND cooking! But the post about the near break in had my heart pounding!!! What a violation! So thankful they were scared off. And NOW I know why you want the biggest dog you can find! Love the pot holders, and that new Knit Picks yarn is so pretty!!!

  8. That Nordic Shawl looks gorgeous. Are you doing yours in the same colours? Love the potholders - pattern please? Guess what, my DD announced tonight that she thinks Boston's are 'cute' ..... halfway there!! Do you think Quincy would like a little Boston friend? xox

  9. Love the potholders and the colors you chose. If that is improvising, you are very good at it.
Been meaning to tell you how sorry I am about your home invasion. It is a scary thought having someone sneaking around your house. Sadly it is happening everywhere, even here in the sticks where I live.
    Wishing you a good day!

  12. I am in awe of your ability to improvise, I could not make that with a pattern, let alone by myself. I love them,

  13. Your potholders are so pretty! Good job! I want to make a Nordic Shawl too, but I'm still trying to decide if I would really wear it. I probably would, because I love scarves, so why not expand to a shawl. :)
