Nothing Wednesday

...just the way I like 'em!
Not a thing going on.

Well, maybe a little hooky time.

And tea time.
I stole the Captain's coffee cup this morning.

A little reclaiming and cleaning up.
I washed down things, swept, and moved some things around.
It's ours again, minus the dog pee on the table.

I bought a new rug for the living room.
You like?  All my favorite warm colors.

And a few spring colors too...

I've eaten way too many of these little boogers.
Ah, the Easter Candy Aisle!
Reminds me of something...

Oh, yes...new yarn!
In pretty colors!

An impulsive make.
I had to try out the new yarn, ya know.
Tutorial for this cute little stuffed heart is HERE.

Back when I was looking for some Feng-Shui stuff for my house, I bought this "thing" on eBay. The picture made it look gigantic, and I failed to read the fine print. Imagine my surprise when this tiny little plastic thing made it to my door (all the way from Asia)...all two inches of him, er, her...whatever. Hmm. One of those late-night impulse buys gone awry. Ha-ha. I look at it and roll my eyes a lot. It sits on my desk next to my monitor so I see it all the time. I'm skeered to throw it away. It might have some mojo on it.

Well, this ended up being a lot for a "Nothing Wednesday." Hope you're having a good week.

  2. I like your newly reclaimed space and your living room rug. It all looks quite cozy. I had to laugh at your little statue. I've been guilty of the same time of decisions. Your experience last week was the last straw for my Hubby. We've had a security company out to get an estimate for an alam system. I hate that thought, but life isn't what it was just a few years ago.
Enjoy your new yarn! It's beautiful.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  7. I like the new yarn in spring colors. Knit Picks is getting to be my new favorite.
Are you making a Nordic shawl? I'm so far behind on mine. I started with a G hook, and realized I was going to need two more balls of yarn, so I ripped it out and started over with a bigger hook size. 10 more rows to go before I get to the color part.
    Have fun crocheting!

  8. Oh my! A break-in, robbery and all the gorgeous crochet too. I do hope you are able to get past that awful day. Not fair is it.
Your new rug is so pretty on the wood floor. We are currently having wood installed and I hope it looks as pretty as yours.
I am so loving the blue crochet project. What stitch is that if I may ask? Hoping there are blessings coming your way.

  9. BOOO DUH! I got a good laugh out of the Ebay find. I bought a Christmas ornament once from there and expected something a lot better than what I received. The description made it sound like gold. The seller bugged me to death wanting a comment on my happiness for getting it...I was laughing all the way. I ripped it apart to recycle the thing and learned a lesson, not all that glitters is gold of course, ha! Love the yarn you got and the rug looks good. I keep playing with my yarn, but here lately haven't done much of anything. I sometimes think I am the most boring person on earth.

  14. Your patio looks great. Nice clean up after the crooks. I like your new rug. The colors go wonderful on those beautiful wood floors. That "thing" is tiny but the blue color is lovely. Live and learn. I just woke up hearing the plow come down our street again. Yes, it snowed again here. Guess winter isn't over yet. All white outside. Make something pretty with your new yarn.

  15. I've been thinking for a long time about getting wood floors. Yours is really pretty and I wondered if it is real wood, a laminate or something else. I'm also curious about if you like it and how it holds up to pets. Love to hear from you!
