Happy Things

♥ Adore ♥

Smile and giggle.

Swoon! That's what these little measuring cups do for me. I found these on Pinterest, pinned them, and then went and ordered them for myself the next day! I didn't need them...just wanted. That's okay every now and then, yes? I got 'em at Touch of Europe through Amazon.com.

Ears and hair.

A recipe that turns out great.

The recipe is in yesterday's post. It was fantastic. I was bad and added 1/2 stick of butter to the sauce, then chunked up the chicken a little and added a pound of ziti pasta to it. Serve with a little parmesan sprinkled on top of each bowl. So good! I had some cold later in the evening, and it was good that way too. Totally a keeper! You've gotta try this one.

Note:  You'll think you have too much sauce, but the pasta soaks it right up with little to spare. Perfect.

Two of my favorite things...crochet and NASCAR.

The new Nordic Shawl is coming right along.
A few more rows to go before the fancy part.

♥ Grocery store flowers from the hubby ♥

You all make my life sweeter with your visits, comments, and posts. I hope you know that. Y'all come back now, ya hear? And don't be shy about leaving a little love for me in the comments, or even just a little like will do. I try to do the same.

  3. Your dinner looks delicious! I'm so glad to hear it turned out well. I think butter was just the ticket, personally, but I always think that. I'm going to look at that store you linked to, your new cups are adorable!

  8. The pasta dish looks good. I love all the ingredients so what is not to love. You crochet fast, I guess I have mentioned that before. You are right, this color seems to be much better than the blue. Nascar, it use to be on the tv around here a lot, and golf and basketball, and football. My hubby would have loved this year of the Final 4 with the Wildcats playing those pins and needles games, right up to the last few seconds. I will never forget many years ago when they played Duke and my husband and our youngest daughter were watching. KY was ahead and my hubby hated Duke. The last couple seconds my husband stood up and yelled, "Eat Wildcat SHIT Duke!" because he was so sure the game was in the bag and KY had won and the next thing you know the Duke player threw the ball and it went into the hoop winning them the game. My husband just couldn't believe it. I was sitting in my chair crocheting (as usual) and I quietly said, "Rog, you jinxed your team, you should have never acted like some nut yelling that crap, like they were gonna hear you anyways, lol" I think he would have throttled me, but all he could say was, "can you believe that shit!" LOL

  13. I got about 3 inches from the "fancy part" (as you call it) and ran out of my beige main color ;). So, I had to order some more from Knit Picks and am waiting for it to get here. Ay! Yours is look in' good, btw.

  14. Love those colorful measuring cups! So cute. Catching up with your posts. You have been busy. I think I follow too many blogs. LOL! Wish I could get over this cold. Chilly weather came and the coughing and congestion surfaced again. And I have to go to the dentist for my six month cleaning tomorrow. Hope I can hold my mouth open all that time without coughing up a storm. Have a lovely evening.
