Daytona 500 Sunday

I'll be here today crocheting pineapples...

Watching the race...
(With the air conditioner on because it's in the 70s already today...in February. GAH. I hate to be hot.)

Making and eating Rotel Chicken Spaghetti.
These are all the ingredients you need.

Cook your spaghetti, mix all the ingredients together, add it to the noodles, put it in a greased 9 x 13 casserole dish, cover, and bake at 350 F. for 30 minutes or until hot all the way through. Serve with some hot, buttery, garlicky bread...and maybe a salad if you're in a healthy mood. I am not.

I'm bummed because my favorite ring that I NEVER take off broke last night for absolutely no reason. (I mean, no reason other than the fact I never take it off.  Ha.) I ordered what I hope will be my new favorite ring that I never take off from etsy this morning. I'll show it to you when I get it. Maybe the Captain can solder this one back together. I haven't asked him yet.

See ya.

  1. Hello friend. I am doing my best to play catch-up with all these blogs I love to read. Sorry about your ring. Can you take it to a jeweler to get it fixed? I looked in the mirror the other day and one of my gold earrings was gone. I searched, but where it is who knows. I keep hoping it will turn up somewhere around here (maybe it is out is the snow piles?). This is the 2nd time in so many years that has happened to me. Now I have 2 odd ball expensive earrings that have no mates, maybe I should just wear them both at the same time??? After all, anything goes these days. That doily is coming along nicely and the recipe sounds good. If my hubby were alive he would be watching the race too, but all is quiet on the home front and it is just me and my doggies. Hope you have a good week ahead, hope your shoulder is doing well. Take care, keep cool....we still have the cold.

  3. 70s is perfect temps for me! We're still sitting by the fire. 50 out here. LOVE the doily! Which one is that? That food looks yum.. we're having crab on a salad. A jeweler can fix that ring for cheap.
Have a good week.. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  4. Aw, poo! Sorry your ring wore out. Soldering would prolly do the trick. I had a ring kinda like that one I wore for years. Got it at the Portland (OR) Saturday Market....
Thanks for the new recipe - think I have all the ingredients, too. DH's making meatballs and s'ghetti for din-din.
I hear ya on the temp...we've got the fans on, too.
Enjoy your doily-making and the race.

  5. You always come up with very interesting recipes ... I'm going to have to show my DD this one as I think its one her DH might enjoy. How much of the Parmesan cheese do you use? That's a shame about your ring - hope you can get it fixed. By now your weekend will be over - was the race good and how much crocheting did you get done? Enjoy the coming week. xoxox

  6. So sorry about your ring breaking. I had that happen before and it broke my heart. I had been a gift from a friend and was irreplaceable. I do however, love your doily. I'm also working on one for Teresa K. that has pineapples. It's on my lap right now as I'm taking a small break to rest my hands from the cotton thread and catch up on blogs. Enjoy the race and the spaghetti!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  7. I like to crochet while watching tv too. I saw the race while flipping through channels but didn't stop to watch. I can't really get into that kind of stuff. I'm a girl, what can I say? :) Glad you're doing well.

We were slowwwww moving on Sunday morning! We were on our way home from visiting family and yikes!!.... The interstate was a parking lot! Everybody in Florida was going to the race! It took us 2 hours of inching to go about 20 miles...a trip that normally takes 2 hours took us 4 hours to get home. Hubby really wasn't in the mood this year to watch the race! Wonder why?...lol ( he did tell me that we will no longer visit anyone on the Daytona 500 weekend)!!!...lol
Always entertained by your blog! Have a great week!
    Kathy (ravelry) :)
