January, Texas-Style

Brrr! I took this around 5:00 pm today.

See? I'm working on stuff...

I got some Madelinetosh Pashmina yarn from my hubby for Christmas!
It's not quite as green as this picture, but it's close.
It's called Courbet's Green. He picked it, but I like it.

Oops, my finger slipped and another dog picture appeared. ;)

Guess what I did?

I went to an old cemetery ghost hunting!

Damn, this guy died a looong time ago!

Okay, this was just the daytime scope-out of the place, but I'm going back under the cover of night. That's when ghosts come out to play, don't ya know? Want to come? It'll be scary and adrenaline-filled fun! Do you think I'm a dork? I don't care!

  1. You must be further south than I am. It got into the high 50s today. Better than the freezing temps elsewhere! Your work is looking great, and your dogs are always worthy of a pic. Happy ghost hunting :-)

  2. That's how I like the temperature - wish it was like that all year round. We've just had 4 days of heatwave conditions and it was terrible. Today is good though. Your crochet looks lovely - look forward to the ta-dah pictures. Hi Sammi and Ollie (hugs). You're very brave to go to the cemetery at night - hope you meet some friendly ghosts LOL. I find them interesting by day ! Have a good week and happy crocheting. xoxox

  3. I am SO Glad you are going to stick around! You made me cry when you were going to leave. Now you are cracking me up. Happy Hunting. Hugs to Ollie and Sammi. Your Alabama Fan.

  4. Our thermometer sure didn't look like that today. I don't think it got above freezing here. I really like all of your current "makes", especially the doily.
You're very brave to go to the cemetery at night. I must admit it would be a bit scary for me. Enjoy yourself!

  5. Hot here. Yuck!! I want winter!!!! Love that shade of green that Cap picked out for you!!!! I don't know how to read diagram patterns. I am assuming you do. Love the colors of the doily too.
I sure hope the bug that has had you, is about gone!! Been long enough!!!!!!!
SO good to see you posting my friend!!!! We need our Pammy Sue!!!!
    Love ya

  6. What a wonderful weather you have Pammy Sue! Love the doily and the green Pashmina hum ....yummy! Hope you have a great week. :)

  7. I don't think you are a dork at all I love old cemetery's will see you later for the ghost hunt. :)

  8. Love the colors on the doily. Reminds me of mocha. =) Have a great day!

  9. I'd come with you in a second. I love old cemeteries and would love to see a ghost. Great crocheting, love the madtosh.

  10. OHHHHHHHHHHH, here is the sister state to Alaska, aka Ohio, we are freezing!!!!!!!!! I am so sick of it, the cold freezing weather, the nutty people out on the frozen reservoir and Lake Erie doing their ice fishing in their make shift shanties freezing their buns off. Even Teresa in Oregon is showing bulbs peeking up through the ground....we are to expect more arctic blasting for 2 weeks straight. gee, I can't wait!
    (((HUGS))) Susanne :)

  11. I am so happy that I am not the only one out there that likes old cemetaries! Awesomely Weird!! Happy ghost hunting!

  12. I would love to go to the cemetery! That sounds like good, spooky fun to me. You just try to stay warm over there, okay? I know it won't be easy, but do your best. ;)

  13. Glenda6:54 PM

Nice and warm in Central Texas today too! If we could just do away with all the cedar pollen floating in the air and the related sneezing, it would have been the perfect day.

  14. I think that temperature isn't so bad. Right now saskatchewan weather is half decent. Its not so cold .
I love seeing what you are working on, and I love seeing your doggies. Give ole a hug for me.
You sure are brave going ghost hunting. Umm you going to take a friend.? I would.
Keep us all updated on your ghost hunting!! :)

  15. I think our weather is similar.. sunny and cold. We have east wind here, too. I LOVE the doily and the shawl! I finally bit the bullet and bought some blood red alpaca/silk to work on a winter shawl for me. I'm glad to see you're feeling better! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  16. My Grannie used to love wandering cemeteries (to my knowledge she only did this during the daytime though) to "be with the spirits" as she'd put it!

Enjoy the WARM weather for those of us freeeeezing in the north!

  17. Hello Scotty, I think it cool. I'll be here waiting for your nigtly visit on this cemetery....hehehe. I like this adrenalin too. big hug to you from here, Brazil...
    xxx Ana
