The Klutz Strikes Again

Well, I've done it this time. Fell and broke my shoulder and ripped it up good. MRI today, and hope to find out if it'll need surgery to fix before the long weekend. What am I, 80?

The good news is when I was on my way down, all I could think of was DO NOT land on your hips or back!!  So I automatically tucked my shoulder in and it took the entire blow of my body weight. My back is fine. No damage done to the hardware there. Thank you, Lord!

Needless to say, no crochet or anything else happening here for a while. I'll let y'all know the deal when I know something. The Captain has taken off work and is taking good care of me, as he always does.

BYE.

  18. Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry to hear that you are hurt! Let us know how the MRI goes and what they say. How did the fall occur? Reminds me when I had the DW door down and forgot it was and backed up and fell inside the DW rack on the door! Get well fast and I'm glad Cap is such a good nurse.

  19. You poor girl! I read the first couple of lines and a big "OH NO" came flying out of my mouth. It is so darn easy to fall anymore. I about fell coming up my front concrete steps the other day, and sadly I was thinking, "oh just like an old grandma, I need a rail to hang on to." Mean old Mr. Gravity is always there to catch us, but more times than not we find out we are truly hurt. The older I get the more clumsy I get. It isn't just you, I think it just comes with aging and always trying to do the things we did when we were younger and finding out that falling at this age isn't like it was when we were younger. All I can say is one big OUCH! Hope the MRI doesn't show anything too bad.
    (((HUGS))) Susanne :)
P.S. Try and enjoy your Thanksgiving, hope your hubby is good in the kitchen.
