I've Been in Book Land

I've been reading this book for the past 24 hours. I've read this series of books for years. They are always good. The first one I read was back in the early '90s and was called Eyes of Prey. I was hooked from the get-go. This one has been sitting in my bookshelf since Christmas last year. I finally picked it up yesterday when I was bored out of my mind and started reading. I just finished it a few minutes ago. In the first few pages of all these "Prey" books is a list of all of them in chronological order. If you want to read them, start from the beginning and you'll get more out of them and know what's going on with the references and stuff.

It felt so good to be wrapped up in a book! It's been so long since I've read a novel and really enjoyed it. Reading is good.

Before I got wrapped up in the book, I did get a good start on my Amineko Kitty. Poor thing is just pieces and parts right now, but he'll soon come together. It's been fun working on him too.

I'm cute.

I'm a vampire.

I'm a lion...Rawr!!!

I'm cute again.

What's everybody laughing at?

Mmm...sloppy joe's!
Good baseball game-watching food.

That is all.

  1. Perfect time of year to curl up with a good book. Your crochet kitty is coming along beautifully and the yarn looks super soft. I'm a big sloppy joe's fan (with a side of cole slaw please). :-) Have a great day. Heather

  5. Hello Pammy Sue - I've been following your blog for a couple of months.

Besides excellent crochet inspiration and yummy recipes, I know when I read your blog I'll smile, if not laugh out loud. Love your style! Thanks for sharing.

I do have a question. What breed of dog is Sammi? Thanks!

  6. Jill, Sammi is 1/2 Boston Terrier and 1/2 Black Pug. They call them "designer dogs" when they are half and half of full-breed dogs. She's a "Bug." I'm sure you've heard of Chi-weiners and Labradoodles, etc.

  7. I love a good book too, I'm going through my bookshelves at the moment reading old favourites, trouble is if it's good I can't put it down and am usually reading till the small hours, my eyes kill me the next day.:)

  8. Oh for heavens sakes, that vampire pic had laughing my head off. Are not dogs the silliest creatures at times, and never a dull moment either when they are around. I made my dogs stay outside with me all afternoon. Chewy was not too happy come meal time. He seems to know when it is close to 5pm and so the barking started and it was annoying. Finally I called it quits. They are both snoozing now....man, you would have thought they were the ones who were doing all the work. I need to make a few cats, heck I am such a copy cat, I think I need to do everything everyone else is doing. I have never read any books by that author. I have a whole library of books to read, just don't seem to find the time to do that right now. The sloppy joe, I could wolf a couple down, save some for me, lol

  10. What a poser .. but he is rather cute. Amineko is coming along nicely - love those colours. I've often wondered what sloppy joes are so now I know. Is that meat very runny and what do you put in it ? I think we'd call that some kind of burger. Looks yum. xox

  11. How did I miss your last post? Let's start there. Way to go Cap...the yard is looking great. But that lizard on your hand kind of creeped me out a little. You are cooking up a storm Pammy Sue! The dip...yum!! The pumpkin pic/cake....YUM, and all of the stuff coming out of the kitchen over there looks so goooood!!!
Love the vampire dog pose! Love sissy's bunting! Love the ravelry pic of the squares...so pretty. Love the kitty....and I love to read too, but I have to admit that since I have gotten so into crochet, my reading time has fallen to the way side. I can recommend some awesome reads though!!!
