Halloween Doily

I made this little doily last night using THIS FREE PATTERN. I used some #3 black thread that I had left in my stash, but I didn't have enough to completely finish it so I used some orange Catania yarn that's more like #5 thread, but it worked okay. I left off the last round of the pattern because I didn't like the way it looked in this yarn. I wanted something Halloweenie, and this pattern worked out great.

I love these banana pops!

Hubby was off today so we had a little lunch date at Taco Cabana.
That's a frozen margarita and frozen sangria swirl.

Have y'all seen this pillow advertised on TV?
I've been wanting one and found it at Target today.
Yipee! No more waking up with sweaty head at night!
Do you grin when you sleep?
I don't.
Those people on that box are creepy!

  1. How pretty your new banner piccie is! Love it...so autumn-y. I'm gonna have to try one of those chillows, now. God only knows what my mouth does when I sleep but, I'll bet it's not pretty.
We are using those MyPillows now after a l-o-n-g search for a good pillow and I love 'em! You can get them on QVC (http://tinyurl.com/mkapdm8)or CVS drug stores.

  6. Ok when we get home from our road trip out west I must make this doily in black and orange. Yours is adorable. I have to make my in yarn not thread though. I just can't seem to be able to crochet with thread and smaller hooks. I envy you!

  8. Love your 'fall' decorations also the new look of your blog. I'm going to have to get you to give me some lessons in how to do that. I've never heard of those pillows but I have one that has a memory and as soon as you lift your head, it goes back to its original shape. At first I thought I'd hate it as it feels a bit hard but its actually fantastic and I love it. Hope your new pillow works well for you. xoxox

  9. Such a pretty doily! I for sure know it's fall when I look at it. :-) I think those pictures are a bit creepy too, but hope the pillow helps you. I want to make those pumpkins but have my hands full this year with other projects. I guess I'll have to print out the pattern and have them ready for next year.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
