Halloween Doily

I made this little doily last night using THIS FREE PATTERN. I used some #3 black thread that I had left in my stash, but I didn't have enough to completely finish it so I used some orange Catania yarn that's more like #5 thread, but it worked okay. I left off the last round of the pattern because I didn't like the way it looked in this yarn. I wanted something Halloweenie, and this pattern worked out great.

I love these banana pops!

Hubby was off today so we had a little lunch date at Taco Cabana.
That's a frozen margarita and frozen sangria swirl.

Have y'all seen this pillow advertised on TV?
I've been wanting one and found it at Target today.
Yipee! No more waking up with sweaty head at night!
Do you grin when you sleep?
I don't.
Those people on that box are creepy!

  1. How pretty your new banner piccie is! Love autumn-y. I'm gonna have to try one of those chillows, now. God only knows what my mouth does when I sleep but, I'll bet it's not pretty.
We are using those MyPillows now after a l-o-n-g search for a good pillow and I love 'em! You can get them on QVC ( CVS drug stores.

  2. LOL! We just got some miracle as-seen-on-tv pillows that Evan was sure would be wonderful... I'm just now not needing Advil after sleeping on mine Saturday! LOL! Hope you'll FEEL like smiling on yours! ;)

LOVE the black and orange doily. Perfect with the pumpkins! =) blessings ~ tanna

  3. Looking very, Fallish...anyway...I like how it looks an dlove your projects..kinda Halloweenie..LOL

    Hi Pammy Sue...

  4. Love your new header! Doily so pretty. Lunch looks amazing, Mexican is my favorite!

  5. I love that doily, it's like a spider web - but pretty! Very fallish. Hubby and I also went out to lunch and had a shrimp salad.. mmm. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  6. Ok when we get home from our road trip out west I must make this doily in black and orange. Yours is adorable. I have to make my in yarn not thread though. I just can't seem to be able to crochet with thread and smaller hooks. I envy you!

  7. Love the doily. Let me know how the cooling pillow works!
    XO Kris

  8. Love your 'fall' decorations also the new look of your blog. I'm going to have to get you to give me some lessons in how to do that. I've never heard of those pillows but I have one that has a memory and as soon as you lift your head, it goes back to its original shape. At first I thought I'd hate it as it feels a bit hard but its actually fantastic and I love it. Hope your new pillow works well for you. xoxox

  9. Such a pretty doily! I for sure know it's fall when I look at it. :-) I think those pictures are a bit creepy too, but hope the pillow helps you. I want to make those pumpkins but have my hands full this year with other projects. I guess I'll have to print out the pattern and have them ready for next year.

  10. Love the Halloweeny Doily, and you are right those people are creepy, sis the pillow work? And did you smile while you were sleeping?

  11. maybe they are smiling because for once they are getting a good nights sleep, lol. Love the doily, and it definitely does look seasonal for Halloweeenie! Have a great weekend, love ya,
    (((HUGS))) Susanne :)

  12. The doily looks great with those little pumpkins! Just love fall time crochet!!

  13. Love your fun doily. I made this one with black and orange Peaches & Cream yarn and it turned out cute.

Your pumpkins are cute too. Is there a pattern for them?
