Summer Splendor in Pink

Pattern:  Summer Splendor by Denise Augustine
Archived Pattern HERE. You'll have to copy and paste onto a plain white background to read it!
Thread:  Red Heart Classic #10
Hook: Size 1.75 mm
Size: Mine came out to 14.5"

This doily felt like it took me forever! Either I was slow or it really does take a long time to make all those bobbles.
***********************************
Don't worry...I'll be changing my template AGAIN soon. All those grannies are making my head spin!

I actually love the granny background. Really nice doily...think I'm gonna try my hand at one. Any recommendations for a first doily? or just dive right in?

Love it! Its beautiful it is on my list of doilies I would like to make someday.. I am thinking of using a size 3 thread so It can be bigger for a table topper.

Mimi: I would start out making a smaller doily with size 10 thread and a size 7 hook (1.75 mm). Then just take it one round at a time. I always use a post-it note to keep my place on the pattern when making doilies. I made "The Gift Doily" my first time. You can google it for the free pattern or it's on Ravelry too. Making a doily with thread will give you so much confidence in your crocheting! After I made my first one, I felt like I could make anything. And don't worry...you will be awkward at first with the small thread and hook, but it will quickly get easier as you go. Good luck! Let me know how it goes! pammysue8@gmail.com I'll send you a couple of patterns for smaller doilies if you want to email me.
