Stormy

This is what it looks like at my house as I type this. I took this picture about 5 minutes ago. Yikes!

I've done most of my recovering in a $40 lawn chair that I bought at Wal-Mart. It's the most comfortable one for me. Can you believe that? I have it sitting in my living room in place of the $700 chair that usually sits there. Ha-ha-ha. Nice. I'm a classy lady. You can also see my TV tray that we bought at Target sitting next to it holding my crochet stuff. Nothing but the best for me!

I'm working on another doily.

***************************

I'm back to work today. Oh the joy!

  1. Gosh, I hope you are ok, those storm clouds look really scary!

Ohhhh what pattern is the doily? Love the color? Is that the Nezli Gelin Thread? It's very lovely.

Sending you hugs and prayers that you are feeling better with each day. :)

    Blessings always

  2. If you are back to work you must be doing well. Take lots of rests and ease back into your schedule. How was the Doctor appointment?

  4. Wow! Those clouds are kind of scary looking! We've had drizzle today, but nothing too much.

LOVE that chair. I keep looking at those at Sam's. Now, they are even more tempting knowing you have been recuperating in one!!

  5. Wow, we have those zero-gravity chairs too.. but they are a little hard to get out of.. I'm so glad to hear how well you're recuperating! I **love** your doilies. I use them all over my house. I sent you the pie crust recipe, please let me know if you try it and like it. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  6. Hey I have that same chair out by the pool and it is very comfy! Looks like you've got everything you need right at your finger tips.
Those storm clouds are pretty scary. Don't you get tornadoes there? I'd be moving that chair down to the basement.
Your doily looks fab. I like the pink.

  9. I haven't been to visit you for a while as I haven't been playing Artists Playroom (naughty me), so I've just been catching up on your op and recuperation. So glad you are better now, that's a lot of hardware inside you. I love your doilies and you have named one after my daughter, Audrey. I've been doing inking and I hate to tell you but we use old doilies to push modelling paste through to get texture. Would never waste one as lovely as yours though.
Enjoy your week and getting back to work. Hope the storm wasn't too bad.

  10. That is a very angry looking sky!!! Yikes, is right!!
We have two of those zero gravity chairs and they are great!!! I can see where that would be very comfortable for you in your recovery.
So...how was the first day back?
    Love your work station!!

  11. We also have two of those zero gravity chairs at the lake and use them constantly. They're very comfortable. (And we bought ours at Walmart too!)
The doily is very pretty. I need to get back to crocheting more and take a break from knitting.
So glad you've recovered enough to go back to work and I hope that storm passed you over.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
