Oveja Negra

Black Sheep...

Black is so hard to photograph. The yarn pictured above is what I used...I do NOT recommend it. It's rough, it's stiff, and it pills like crazy. No wonder it was cheap. I was covered in little black yarn balls every time I worked on this. Unfortunately, I have five more skeins in gray. Sigh.

I did my own thing on the edging this time.  Free shawl pattern here:  Oveja

  1. The shawl looks lovely in black but I bet you're pleased that its finished. I've just completed some black fingerless gloves and its such a hard colour to work with. The end result is no doubt worth the effort though as I'm sure you'll use it often. Have a great weekend. xox

  3. Sorry the yarn sucks, but the shawl looks awesome. I bet it will be so softy and cozy when you wear it, too.

Hugs and blessings always dear friend.

  4. But it looks so so fun. Hope you have a great weekend planned. S is at work this morning, then a work BBQ for him, politcal stuff to show, then to his Aunt's for a quick visit. Hopefully a little relaxing on Sunday. But glad I got my workout in at 7am this morning, as I'm thinking it may be a bad food day.

    Ciao...

  7. Love it, even if it is shedding black fluff all over you.

  8. Black is hard to work with anyway and to have little black furballs attach themselves to you while working it is like having a shedding dog on your lap while crocheting. You did a wonderful job. I want to make myself a wrap of some sort. I think this may be what I am looking for. Blessings

  10. Your comment about how hard black is to photograph reminds me of how many times we would TRY to get a good photo of our Scotty, Tess, and fail. She was just the most beautiful dog in the world... but not one good photo to capture that beauty. =(

I hate it when I do a project and then don't like the yarn. Bummer. Looks great from here!

I love the photo you did of The Captain at Starbucks! blessings ~ tanna

  11. Hi Pammy! I am back on the internet and of course had to check out what is new with you. I see you still have your crochet mojo working for you and as busy as ever. I looked back at those adorable baby pics you posted of your sweet doll and does she not just get cuter every time you show us a new photo! They are so darn cute at that age, it is hard to keep from hugging them. Hope all is well with you. Have a great weekend.

  14. Lovely shawl!! Not only black, all the dark colours are difficult to photograph. I have dark blue Colored 10 balls of good quality cotton but none of the patterns show up in the images properly.
