Baby Bobble Blanket

Blanket Pattern:  From the book, The Big Book of Weekend Crochet, Hilary Mackin and Sue Whiting
Edging Pattern:  Pattern #7 from the book, 50 Crocheted Afghan Borders, Jean Leinhauser
Yarn:  Bernat Softee Chunky for body and Deborah Norville Everyday Solids for red trim
Crochet Hook:  J
Satisfaction Level:  Off the chart. I love it. It was totally worth the hours upon hours it took.

If anyone would like to purchase this, it is available. Leave a comment with your email address (which I will not publish). Otherwise, it's going to charity later in the year. $55 plus shipping. I paid about that much for the yarn alone. Please keep in mind that I do live with dogs (I mean, they live with me). A stray dog hair or two is possible, although I keep them away from it and keep it as clean as possible. It's only fair I disclose this since allergies are such a big deal these days.

I'm off to start my next project. I have two I'm torn between. Maybe I'll do them both at the same time! I have new luscious yarn to show you too. Mmm...yarn.

Oh, I lost 2 more pounds!
I'll take it.
I'm going to keep on keepin' on.
-8.5 pounds total.

Bye!

This is so pretty. Love it edged in the red! The little bear, how adorable. Can't wait to see what you have in mind next. 8.5 lbs - that's fantastic!

Strikingly beautiful!

Keep up the good work on losing weight. We just have to keep pressing on till we find what works. We just stopped low carb and are returning to our version of the rice diet and portion control.

:o)

I'll just get in line behind all your other fans and say, "Beautimus blanket!!!" You used my Sooner colors, and I think it's very flashy . . . much to pretty for a baby to throw up all over! Congrats on your weight loss. I've been going back to your older posts and finding your low-carb recipes. Can't wait to try some of them.

Glad you found your way back to your yarn and hooks! We all need to take a crochet break once in a while.

Great job on the weight loss too! It's hard work, but so very worth it!

Your blanket is very pretty, and you finished it so quickly! I love the texture from the bobble stitch.
The first time I tried low carb, I didn't lose a pound for almost a whole month. Not one pound. I was ready to quit. Keep going, and just stick to one scale, and how your pants fit. That's the real deal.
Have you heard of the Marks Daily Apple website? Lots of good information and the success stories are really motivating.
Good luck. I'm off to have some celery with Laughing Cow cheese.
