Stormy The Cat

IMG_0766

I have always wanted to make one of these Amineko Cats, so yesterday during all the storms and tv coverage, I sat down and started one.  I just finished him about an hour ago, and I am in love with him!  Isn’t he darling?  The bolo tie was The Captain’s idea.  I think it fits him perfectly.  I plan to give him to my daddy.

The free pattern I used is HERE.

There are also books you can buy.

Hee-hee!

I had a lot of fun making him.

It’s really fun to look through all the pictures on Ravelry.

There are 1500 plus to look through!

Some of the poses are so funny and cute.

buddies

This is my favorite.

They were made by Knichet on Ravelry.

Those “sweaters” are adorable!

I have this as my wallpaper on my computer now.

SO SWEET!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my kitty.

I’m going to make another one.

I’m on a roll!

Bye.

  2. Wow... I'm currently working on an Amineko too, mine is a work in progress. I've set it aside for a few weeks (to work on other items) but I promised my daughter I'd finish it before she goes back to school.

I have the book, love the tons of photos, and the pictures that accompany Amineko and his pals.

  3. A SOCK CAT!!! I must learn how to make this! He's too freaking adorable. Emily has always been freakishly scared of Sock Monkeys
(as her mother with an vintage sock monkey I may have had something to do with freaking her out... it was sadly fun) Anyway, sheLOVES cats, so maybe I can get motivated and make (or find someone to make it for me) and give to her as a make up token of love!
ps... I really love the picture of him with his paw on your pup!

  6. Aww how cute - I want one too. Love the poses - Sammi doesn't look too impressed but Ollie appears to be quite fascinated. Your hook must have literally flown to have finished him in one day.

  10. Love the pic with Sammy...she looks like, 'ok mom, enough is enough'. You have found a new world in crochet, that's great! I love making my dolls but I do get tired of all the sc's after a while. I am so stuck on hats right now it isn't funny. I need to lay them all out and take a pic. I kid you not, I have one tote 14x9x11 so full I can't get another hat into it. They are just too easy and quick to make.

  15. I love the Amineko pattern---I made one as a Christmas gift and was so impressed with how easy and well it worked up! And Stormy is too, too cute, I love how happy he is and the bolo tie really is a perfect detail.

  16. For some reason I am still having troubles with your pictures appearing, although the other day your sweet doggie showed up, as well as your pillow pic. The snap shot from Ravelry of the rear view of the cats is there, anyways, thank you for sharing, I'm sure your little bow tie cat is just mewo-vu-lous. I am so glad that you survived the storms and no damage to life of limb, but I had to laugh when you said you crocheted during the storm. I guess what better way to be blown away than with your crochet hook and yarn in hand. Have a terrific Easter!
