Giveaway!

DSCF4117

I’m not fishing for compliments here so please refrain, but my dishcloths are just plain ugly.  The design is nice, but the colors are hideous.

I’m very disappointed that mine aren’t pretty like Casey’s.  I guess I chose the wrong colors.

Hmpf!

Now that doesn’t help a pissy mood at all.  I thought I might sit and crochet several of these today, but now I don’t want to.  Who wants to crochet ugly stuff?  Not me.

So to make myself feel better, I’m going to have a little Giveaway.

Here’s what’s up for grabs and how to enter:DSCF4123

Two Ugly Dishcloths & 5 Skeins (82 yards each) of Drops Paris Cotton YarnThe colors of the yarn are two skeins Apricot #01, two skeins Peach #27, and one skein Orange #45.  To enter you must be a Follower and comment on THIS post by Friday, August 5th at midnight Central Time.  That’s it.  I’ll draw a name from the entries and get your info if you are the winner.  You’ll have until Sunday, August 7th at midnight Central Time to get it to me or another name will be drawn.  Thems the rules.  Please give me a linky on your blog if you think about it, but it’s not mandatory in order to win.

I feel better already.

It’s supposed to be 110 degrees today and 108 tomorrow.  I’m so glad we’ll be cooling off a bit tomorrow.  Whew!  Ha-ha.  Where’s my sweet iced tea?

Oh, I made some of Bev’s Peanut Butter Banana Bread again yesterday…

  12. Seriously, when I saw the temp in DAL this morning on TWC, I knew it was going to be another one of those days for ya. I don't know how you are doing it. We are cooling today after monster storms last night, but the humidity has changed at all. The only good thing is I don't need to water.

Maybe, the flowers part needs to be the color of the border. But, to be honest I think you are right. Not really one of my SP favs.

Scott just called and is already on his way home early. I have not a thing planned for dinner. Better go look in the frig and throw something together.

  20. I like your dishcloths. If you want to see ugly, you should see the ones I make out of scraps (hate to waste any yarn). Enter me for the giveaway girl. We're hot here too, not as hot as your location but it is like a sauna outside--my glasses fog up when I walk outside.

  21. The banana bread looks so yummy..Please enter me in your giveaway..I don't think the colors of your potholders are that bad..have a better week!!

  23. Boo boo....I LOVE those dish cloths your made. I'd never use them for that though. I really like the design in the middle and the shape too. Maybe you should put them in your shop if you don't like the colors.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, of course I want to be entered -- and ultimately chosen -- for sure! Will you be in a "pissy" mood again next week and give away some more of your yarn? That would be totally RAD!

Now, for the peanut butter banana bread -- YUMMY! You make me want to make some more too. I can tell it was warm as the butter is all melty and sweet looking. Oh oh, my stomach is growling and drool is running off my chin onto my shirt -- again.

  25. P.S. They are NOT ugly. I think they're beautiful -- so enter me twice -- or three times -- okay?

  26. I have a bit of a washcloth obsession, and the design makes me swoon. The colors aren't as bad as you make them out to be, though I admit, the orange one isn't quite as lovely as the pink. I've been wanting to try out the Paris yarn from Drops, so I hope I win!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I wonder if those would look good with the flower part a nice multi-colored yarn, and the rounds around it a nice solid? What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I love the pinky one! The orange one isn't too bad...maybe the gray edge is what makes it so that you don't like it?

That bread looks really yummo...just what I need - to pack more pounds on! lol

    Hey...emailed you something! :o)xoxo

  29. I don't know how ya'all can stand the heat wave! My son lives in Waco and is a trainer for the Baylor Football team. Don't know how he tolerates it. It's bad enough here in Ohio!

Your dishcloths are not ugly. Perhaps you are right about the color selection. I would be tickled to win them!

  32. OH I love a give-away!! Count me in. I love them just the way you are and I also love cotton yarn!

    I'm off to a lunch out.. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Very pretty pattern, and I don't think the colors are bad, either. But then again, you should see some of the dischcloths-- um, dish rags I use... Er, or no, you shouldn't. My poor pots and pans aren't pampered with such pretty cloths, so they would like to be entered in this give-away. ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  34. They are not that bad!!! I go thru stages like that sometimes to. I think I want to crochet so much stuff that I kinda don't know where to start and then it does not always turn out!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. We all make things we don't like from time to time. At least you'll know better now what you want. Good luck!

  36. I don't find them ugly..I like them !!!

  39. Hi Pammy Sue! Your dishclothes look great! I don't see what all the fuss is about...I don't see any difference between your or Casey's. I do understand to how one feels when completing a project and isn't satisfied or happy with the out come, but still you did an outstanding job and I do love the colors! Peanut Butter Banana bread looks yummy too! Blessings from NC!
