The “dead bird” in the dove’s nest is not dead after all…it’s a BABY DOVE! Well duh, Pammy Sue. But it’s so BIG for a baby!

Casey Anthony is guilty of First Degree, Premeditated Murder. But so was O.J. and we saw what happened there, didn’t we?

I’m glued to the TV watching closing arguments and crocheting today.

It’s too HOT outside. We’re grilling steaks anyway because they taste better that way.

Short entry today.
I maybe not post tomorrow.
See you Tuesday.

  1. omgosh! No wonder Momma Lovie was so crazy with you! Does that mean the dead bird on the porch was also a dove?

  2. Oh, lordy it was the baby. So, glad you didn't get in too close or mama would have really gone after you.

We have been out all day. I just spilled my Jamba Juice from head to toe all over myself and the car. I think I will blame Scott some how....giggling. Only kidding it was totally my fault.

Casey is guilty, kind of figured that was going to be the outcome, but it's the death penalty part that should be interesting.

Yes, it's friggn' hot out there. Sticky on two counts now, second shower of the day already.

Glad to see you are taking the day off tomorrow. I'm going to work on my balloon post and do the same tomorrow.

  3. Good thing you didn't grab that "dead" bird! LOL My boys ride motorcycles and I worry all the time. Have a great 4th of July!

  4. Hi Pammy Sue, I read your post last night and then was gonna comment and the internet went down and I was so darn tired from being in the yard all day I didn't wait for it to come back up. OMGosh You would have needed those goggles after all if you'd stuck your hand even near her baby, hee, hee. So glad it wasn't a dead bird 'cause I thought the mama had gone nuts.

5 brothers, a dad (he used to ride when he was here on earth), my bro in law, a nephew and also one bro's girlfriend all ride and they would wear helmets even if it wasn't a law; it's the smart thing to do. Stupid people don't! Head injuries are the leading cause of death for cyclists. My bro that is 15 mos older than me wouldn't be here today if he wasn't wearing a helmet when an old lady knocked him off his motorcycle.

BBQ is worth the heat. If you're gonna have meat, nuthin' is as good as BBQ steak or chicken! We're having marinated lime, cilantro and jalapeno Mahi-Mahi broiled, baked potatoes, corn on the cob and sauteed onion, green chilies and mushrooms. AND since I don't have a personal chef, I guess I'd better get off my bum and go make it! Think I'll crochet tonight, too.

  5. My hubby lost his brother at age 16, motorcycle, no helmet..... Our nephew was hill climbing, best helmet money can buy, throttle stuck, handlebar went up under the helmet into his brain... I think when its your time, it's your time.

    ahhh on the baby bird.....

I loved the closing arguments so far, except for the old goof-ball Mason.... he's a bit too arrogant for my taste. I think Casey is guilty, but not of 1st degree... I think the neck breaking was for her mother, not Caylee....

  6. Oh how I envy you - I'm sitting here thinking about putting my heated throw over my legs !!! Only 10 degrees celsius outside today (50 degrees fahrenheit). I was so glad to hear about the little bird - no wonder Mama Dove was so upset with you !!!

  7. It's already over 100 degrees here at 11 o'clock in the morning so we'll be grilling too...Don't even want to think about turning on the stove!

Casey Anthony....so very guilty! Hope it doesn't turn out like OJ.

Motorcyclists without helmets = bad news. I investigated serious traffic accidents for a long time. Don't remember any helmetless motorcyclists being able to walk away from an accident.

  8. I always wear my helmet when I ride but sometimes it doesn't matter if you did have one on.....I've seen it lots...believe me. Georgia is a helmet state. FL and SC are not helmet states. When I ride in either of those states I still wear mine. That's my choice. ;o)
