I’m Uninspired

A pretty table runner.  I thought this was really pretty and a great picture.  I was going to post a bunch of pictures from Flickr that would hopefully be inspiring to me, but I couldn’t find anything else I liked as much as this, and I got tired all of the sudden and didn’t feel like looking anymore.

I’ve decided I’m just not ready to make another afghan yet.  In fact, I’m not in the mood to make anything.  The horror!  I’m really uninspired right now.

Three days with no sugar and working on four!  Last night was hard.  I probably ate 1000 calories trying to not eat sugar.  I’m not sure this is working like I thought it would.  Whatevs.

  1. It's a hard thing with the 'diets'. I'm right there with ya. I tried the low carb not long ago and two weeks of that didn't get results. That usually works quick.

And I think the 'uninspired' is in the air...with all the pollen that spring brings. xoxoxo

  4. I've had great success with the "New Atkins for a New You". Lost 18 lbs and kept it off over the holidays....now back to it as I would like to loose at least another 15lbs or so. I find I have lots of energy with it and am not always hungry. BUT, what works for one person won't work with the next....good luck!!

  5. Awww....I have uninspired times too and I always think something must be wrong with me. Maybe the inspiration part of our brain needs some down time too.
Are you an "all or nothing" kind of dieter? You know...like you have to give up ALL sugar or ALL white flour...
I used to do that too, and it is really hard and waaaay too easy for me to blow it down the road and feel crappy about myself because of it. That's why I don't do that anymore. I am trying to simply strive for eating half portions whether it's a meal or a snack....only half and save the other half for the next time. When I eat out, like for a burger or something, I order the smallest burger that has everything on it that I like. It doesn't do any good to order something I don't like because then I just crave it until I get it. When I want pizza for instance, I order a pretty big salad and eat all of it before I eat any pizza. That way, I get full quicker and don't want to over do it on pizza.

  6. I've been dabbling on that Ravelry place... I don't feel like I am good enough... nor is my boring camera phone capable of taking good shots of my stuff... (whine whine whine)

You really made my day today PS... You really, really did... btw... THANK YOU.

  7. I like that table runner. I should make me a table runner. Eat some sugar already. You need a little, just not a lot.

  8. Four days ... you're doing it! Should get easier soon. Not inspired ... sometimes a doing nothing break is just what's needed. Have a good weekend.

  9. What about fructose? Can you eat fruit? That would be difficult if you didn't....wow! Take a Vitamin B 12 if you are determined to go through with this and not eating any fruit!

  10. Pammy Sue - THANK YOU - You'll be getting a shout out tomorrow! SO NICE OF YOU!

Now, I thought about doing the no sugar thing with you, but dang...girl scout cookies in the fridge, chocolate in the candy dish at my Mom & Dad's, Scribe tempting me, I just can't do it...but I really want to.

That table runner is cute. I understand no motivation. I've been there the last month. I think I'm going to be crafty tomorrow for a bit. My cousin is coming over and we're going to sew.

  11. Oh Pammy, so sorry to hear you're feeling some dieting blues.. I just finished a scrapbooking project yesterday, and have a very small one to whip up today.. But I've picked up a couple skeins of cotton yarn yesterday, so that I can pick my crochet hook back up for a spell, and start a potholder. I've also got the pattern sitting out, ready, so that I can start that Grandma's Garden pillow! Remember THAT?! Yes, I think I just may start that FINALLY!.. Hope you're feeling some yarny inspiration soon, and and that you can enjoy your weekend. I bet the weather's looking a whole lot prettier than what we've got up here! ~tina

  12. I know the uninspired feeling . . . have had it for about a month now. I have started several baby items and frogged each one . . . they just didn't cut it.

    FINALLY, I found a 12 mo sweater pattern I liked and I had the yarn and I am actually having fun again . . well, almost, the front is done and the back is on it's way . . but, at least, I'm not frogging :0}
