Hmm…

DSCF2593

DSCF2594

This is what the purple & yellow blanket looks like after crocheting the last round on and joining.  I don’t know if I like it.  I know it will look better when I get a fancy border of some kind on it so I guess I’ll finish it.  I have 30 more squares to make and join.  It’s definitely not going to be one of my favorites, but I didn’t ever think it would be with the purple & yellow.

I’m super-sleepy and dragging ass today.  I think I’ll go take an early nap.

Would you like it better if you joined it with a solid color instead of the variegated? I think the colors are all really pretty together.

What kind of yarn are you using? I really love the multi!

I like it. I like how the blue pops out. I bet you will like it better when you get the edging on it. Hope you're more energized after your nap!

I think it looks great. There will always be some we are more fond of than others I suppose, I do that too with quilting. I think it looks fun and young and wild.
Rest up and get to hookin! I want to see it all done!!!

Actually Miss Pammy...It's not so bad....that variagated yarn was sure to be surprising. I think it is rather Funk-a-delic! It belongs in a 1960's VeeDub Bus!! (skip the hallucinagens tho....too scary)

This is great. It reminds me of flowers or gem stones. I wasn't expecting the other colors but it is very pretty!

It's looking fine Pammy Sue but I know what you mean...I've been playing around with so many different borders and joining methods for my black granny flower blanket. It almost seems each type of yarn suits a different method. Leave it for a bit then come back to it, and then you'll get a better idea of what you want. You'll know if you want to continue this way or not. I find if it keeps picking at me I just have to keep trying. I really love the colors.

I love the colors together. Not to be prejudiced or anything but I like it better than the red and yellow!! I've always liked purple and yellow together though. And the other colors with it just make it stand out that much more.

BTW...I'm jealous.....I'm only on round 10 of the Rising Sun Doily and I've got a problem with it. I think I screwed something up......

This is very pretty! I'm a new subscriber to your blog and love all the granny squares you've put together. How do you join them? I've always avoided making a granny square anything because I've never found good instructions on how to join them all together, short of sewing them together with a whip stitch and a needle, which I hate doing!

I love the colors! And of course once you are better you will have to add a fancy border to give it the final POP. I'm still working on my edging on my baby throw. I'm just slow when it comes to crocheting. Take care of yourself Pammy Sue. We are suppose to get more snow tonight. I'm ready for Spring but we still have loads of snow on the ground and cold weather here. Hugs, Sandy
