Four Things

Happy Weekend, y’all.  I think I’ll just do a random numbered post today.  Sometimes that’s fun.

1.  Y’all go look at Nancy’s YARNY JARS!  I love them.

2.  I’m doing the Doily Crochet Along this time around.  It starts next week at Crochet Galore.  This is the doily we’re making:

Rising Sun Doily

I’m making mine in two colors: chocolate brown and ecru.

3.   Have you seen these crochet hooks?

630055P

They look like they’d be really comfortable to crochet with.  I want one, but I refuse to pay $14 for one freakin’ hook!  That price is absolutely ridiculous!  I’ll crochet with a stick from my backyard before I purchase one of these.  I don’t know why it makes me so mad, but it does…Thieving Bastards.

4.  I’m finally getting around to making the Pizza Rolls today.  Yea!  I can’t wait to try them.  I’ll be refrigerating some for later as the recipe says to do.  Review and pics tomorrow.

5.  Well, I’m stumped for a number five, so I guess that’s it.

Bye!

Those yarny jars remind me a little bit of that colored sand art in jars. Pretty to look at.

I think your new doily will be real pretty in the colors you've chosen.

I am doing the jars also. I thought it was a neat idea to put them out for the birds to use. I have got the first four rounds done on the CAL doily. I am doing mine in a robins egg blue. I got a new catalog this week and saw those hooks. I was shocked to see the price too. I agree with you $14 is a little too much for a hook. Hope you are having a great weekend!

I love your doily your going to make it really is pretty. The hooks look nice but $$$$$ is unreal to pay for them. They also look like boye needle heads which I find for me they split my yarn too much. I learn something every day from you here. Take care my friend.

I think I'll wait for a markdown on those hooks. I'm not much for making doilies but love them. In my family we had lots of them and they do stand the test of time.

Love those crochet hooks. I have a couple of my favourite sizes in Clover hooks, the price in Australia is just under $14. So I would be interested in these ones with our dollar at parity with the US. More info please

Just had a quick look and those hooks are $20 + postage in Australia

Started my "Yarn Jar" today. Well,I should asy I started my "Yarn Bottle" today. I forgot to check the mason jars in the basement and since it is so cold down there. . . 1st basement I have ever been in that has a furnace in it and it is STILL cold . . damn furnace must have GREAT insulation.

Anyway, I digress, I have collected Milk Bottles from our local dairies in Indiana and now in New York, so I started my m"Yarn Bottle" in a pint sized jar . . .now, to make scraps . . LOLOL

The Addi hooks are nice, but I hold my hook like a pencil and those are designed for people that hold hooks like knives.
