Pathetic!

Every year I have high hopes and every year I keep trying and trying, but I fail miserably…

So the first pathetic thing this year is that I couldn’t find my Christmas cookie cutters.  I must have inadvertently thrown them out while cleaning out cabinets.  All I could find was The Captain’s card suit cookie cutters.  So I decided, well, the hearts and diamonds will work okay, and the spades kind of look like a Christmas tree.  Then I just made some round ones thinking they could be Christmas tree balls…

The childrens were very interested in what Momma was doing.  That frosting kind of smells good too!  They did get a lick or two.  Sammi got some too, but my angel doesn’t beg like the two bratty ones do.

Um…

See what I mean?

What the hell ARE those?

PATHETIC, I TELL YOU!

It always makes me laugh how bad I am at this.

EAT THE CHRISTMAS COOKIES AND MARVEL AT THEIR BEAUTY!

IT’S CHRISTMAS, DAMMIT!

the husband makes his mother's cut out cookie recipe every year. This year he got smart . . he did the decorating himself. I try, and think I am being "very creative" and they always look pathetic.

The only good thing about the cookies is . . THEY ARE SCRUMPTIOUS, no matter how bad they look.

Enjoy your cookies . . . when they are baked with LOVE they always taste better.

ROFL@You Pammy, your comments not the cookies. LOL as long as they taste good who cares what they look like. The dogs look like they could care less what they look like. True friends/family won't either.

You made do with what you had, and still made them look great! I haven't tackled the cutouts yet, but I'm thinking about it. One thing's for sure, that clock keeps ticking ahead faster and faster, so I'd better pick a day and just DO IT!... LOVE how the "childrens" are all helping you out!! They are SO CUTE!

They are soooo cute. I love how they are looking at you over the table. The ears all up and I bet those tails were a wagging, too. They are just too cute for words. It doesn't really matter what the cookie looks like, as long as it is good...and of course it is good, it's a cookie! :)

Thank you for the smiles, I need that today. :)

I get to make Santa cookies Friday with the girls. I am so looking forward to that. I hope I remember to take pics. I'm gonna have to dig out pics from the last time we made Santa cookies for Christmas.

I just tracked your package - it says they left it on the front porch. I hate UPS...shoulda used FedEx. I shipped two other packages, one to PA and the other to AZ. On the bill it says all three shipped to you! I didn't think I could be that stupid. I hate UPS!

I'm gonna have nightmares! Scary looking cookies chasing me down a dark alley....I won't be able to run fast enough or scream loud enough....LMAO! The dogs are so cute.

I haven't posted my cookie baking venture yet. Some of the cookies turned out cute, but they were hard as a rock! It was a Martha recipe too. I took them to the family reunion anyway! Well, I wasn't going empty handed!
