Moonrise Wrap

Lookie here, people!

Cool Pattern Alert

moonrise_wrap1_medium2

Isn’t this a gorgeous wrap?  I bought the pattern today and it looks easy as pie, too!  I’m pretty sure I bugged the crap out of this lady for this pattern.  She put it up today for just $2.99 on Ravelry HERE.  Y’all go get you the pattern and support her efforts.  That is a great price for a pattern as nice as this!  (And tell her I’m really a nice person and not a pain in the ass!)

I haven’t decided on my colors yet.  I’m still thinking and looking at my stash.

Feeling better.  Bye!

  2. Very cool. Wish I had time.
How are you feeling? Better, I hope.

I should slow down by the weekend getting things done. Just can't focus on blogging right now.

    Maybe tomorrow....

  3. This is nice, but I don't think you need to buy that pattern (unless you want to) It looks like a very simple design (rectangular shape) with an easy-peacy back and forth stitch - it's very simple and straight forward, no? Or is it just a donation for something? I'm all for supporting causes, but have to wonder sometimes why certain items require patterns when it's pretty obvious (at least to me) just by looking at it ...or maybe that's just me? Maybe I'm not such a perfectionist to have it be exactly the same. That could be. I guess I'm more of a free-style crocheter ;-)

In all honesty, I collect patterns and have a ton, but mostly I find them (for free) on the Internet. When I do pay for them, they had better be VERY unusual and/or complicated, because I want to get my money's worth LOL

I can't wait to see your shawl when it's done. Will you be using the same color combination? It is very pretty and looks awfully warm :-)

  4. Doris, I guess I'm just an idiot because it was not obvious to me how to make this without a pattern! And I consider myself a pretty good crocheter. I know that a lot of people who read this are not advanced crocheters and would rather follow a pattern. I thought $2.99 was reasonable considering many people put their simple patterns up for $6-$8. I know she had several people ask her for the pattern before she ever considered writing it up.

Just FYI...I am not getting a cut or discount or anything, and I don't even know this person. Putting this link on my blog was my idea and my decision. I just thought I'd pass the info on because I thought it was a pretty wrap.

  7. I'm not sure I could do this pattern just by looking at it. I'm not a beginner but I'm not what you would call advanced either. I guess I'm middle of the road? I'll try anything. It looks like it wouldn't be hard but just looking at it and hooking it is not me. I can't wait to see what colors you do yours in. xoxo

  8. Sorry for the misunderstanding, Pammy Sue, just disregard my previous message. I didn't mean to offend!

  9. That really is a beautiful wrap. And it looks warm, too, for if you're in cold weather. Thanks for the link, Pammy Sue. I think I'll go over there and get that, I might want to make it. Can't wait to see yours.

  10. Dear Pammy, so glad you are feeling better now. That'll be a pretty wrap, I'm sure miss speedy crocheter, you. Your new doily is really nice, too. What is shoepeg corn? How different is it from regular corn? I planned on trying your recipe one of these days. I'm gonna make those yummy lookin' candied pecans you made awhile back for Christmas. Really happy you're back! =D
