I tried something new, and low and behold, it worked!  Instead of just griping about that pattern, I've given you a much better pattern to follow if you want to make a Granny Shawl, aka Filigree Shawl.  Click on the pattern name in my left sidebar.

  5. I love this shawl and shame on Barnaby for saying it's ugly! :) I may make this one for me, like I mentioned in my email, then make the frillier one you suggested to give as a gift.

    BTW, I get a kick out of that site, "Groovy Crochet". It brings back hilarious memories for me. :)
