Grandma's Garden Ta-Dah!

I finished her up this afternoon!  I always underestimate how long it's going to take to sew together and add the final touches to a project.  It took me a loooong time to finish this one.  I think maybe I just piddle around too much.

But didn't it turned out pretty?  I'm very pleased with it.

It's going to my big sister when she comes for a visit at the end of May.  I'm going to make my other big sister one too so they will both have one.  That one will be slightly different.  I already haved it planned, and I'm going to start on it right away.

And here's the back.

Sorry no time to chat.  I'll talk at y'all tomorrow.

  1. Love it! Both the front and back because it makes it so much more versatile. One pillow and two looks.

  3. VERY pretty! I haven't gotten to the stage of crochet where I sew things together. I'm hoping I'll get there soon though!

  5. Perfect. Love all the colors you used. Thanks for the info regarding a 16 x 16 form. Off to H.L. first thing tomorrow. I used some of the leftover Lamb's Pride Wool from the 3 stooges, as it's my nap blanket on the bed. So, this can be an additional pillow. I did a similar green with a taupe/beige instead of white. So far so good. You have been great getting me to the intermidate level with this one. Never worked in both the front and back before. It is a lot of yarn in your hand as you go along. Somehow, it all just works out. I did kind of sew the center part and pull it together a little.

Off to make sure Scooter's is O.K. fixing his own sandwich for dinner. Yeap, there is no cook in the house tonight.

    Lazy, Lazy Kate...

  10. I am soooo loving it. GReat Job!!!! soo love the back.

I am trying to make a pillow now. But I am nervous about the joining part. I really never have done to much joining of squares or hexagons. I always have stuck with big granny square types.

I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday. Bought way to much yarn.....
