Monday Stuff

Interesting, no? I've never made anything that started like this. It's kind of obvious that it's a flower, but I just wanted to show how it begins.

Eli keeps pulling at the pom-poms on my booties. One is gone, and the other one is barely hanging on. Maybe it's not such a good idea to have them on my shoes. Who can blame him? They're awfully tempting in a dog's eyes.

Dang it! While I was typing this, I kept hearing a popping noise coming from the area of the kitchen. Wondering what Eli was into now, I got up and went in there to find my six boiled eggs burning on the stove. I swear. I forgot I was even making them...AGAIN. It's amazing that I remember my name.

  1. My stupid "diet" at work~ I have GAINED AGAIN!

I seem to remember quite a while back you swore off hard boiled eggs because you have trouble peeling them. Maybe that is why you forgot them. : )

  2. Neat looking flower congratulations on weight loss not an easy thing to do. I can just see the dogs eye balling your pom poms mom made a new toy for me to play with. Your eggs burning remind me once when my mom was making bean soup and kitchen filled with woman drinking coffee finally notice the smell it was scorched but, we still ate it that night. I always love to come here you make my day even nicer.

  4. Congratulations on the weight loss! Good job! Bet you feel like you're getting somewhere now, huh?

About the eggs..... that's why I carry my timer around the house with me when I'm boiling water for tea or boiling eggs, or just about any kind of cooking these days. I just flit around here doing one thing and another and forget about what's going on in the kitchen. You just need to get in the habit of setting a timer and carrying it into every room as you move around.

It's a pain at first, but you'll get used to it and it's better than setting the house on fire.

  5. I boiled eggs one time, and forgot them---they exploded and stuck to the ceiling. I think I've got you beat on this one *LOL*
