Chocolate Crunch

The crust on this pie was fabulous, but the pie itself was not that great. It's not that it wasn't good; it was. It just wasn't that great. Sure looks pretty though, no? I'll definitely use the crust again. Here's the recipe if you're interested.

Chocolate Crunch Pie Crust:

• 1/3 cup (5 1/3 Tbsp.) unsalted butter
• 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Generously mist a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray; set aside. Combine butter and chocolate chips in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high setting for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring at 20-second intervals, until melted. Add rice cereal and stir to coat evenly with chocolate mixture. Press mixture into prepared pie plate. Freeze 1 hour.

It snowed here this morning. Big, Fat flakes of snow. Did they predict it on the news and go on and on about it? Nope. Dumb asses. I swear.

It sure was pretty and peaceful-looking while it lasted. It stopped after about a half hour, and none of it stuck. I let the dogs out while it was falling because they always have a great time playing in it.

I'm luxuriating in some free time this week. I got all caught up with work on Monday and have just had a few things trickling in the last couple of days. It's been great!
