A big shout out to my sista, Beanie, for this great granola recipe. Simple, easy, yummy. Here's the recipe:
2 cups Old Fashioned Oats (not quick)
1 cup slivered almonds (4-oz bag)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup canola oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine oats and almonds in a large bowl. Drizzle with honey and oil and combine well. Spread out on a cookie sheet lined with foil or parchment paper. Bake 15-20 minutes until browned. Add any dried fruit you prefer or nothing at all. Keeps several days in a covered container. Sprinkle on top of yogurt for breakfast, on your ice cream for dessert, or eat it right out of the container with a spoon like Miss Piggy.
